Hawbear Rides the Chi-Chemaun

Congratulations to my wife Shannon and my mother in-law Sheila for getting there very first book published. Me and Shannon spent many late nights getting this book done and it's finally here. Woohooo!!!. The book is going to be sold up north on Manitoulin Island (that's in Ontario for you non Canadians). The launch date is this Sunday. The book is about Hawbear riding the actual fairy that you can take from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island. The ferry known as the "Chi-Cheemaun" is an Ojibwe word for "The Big Canoe". This book along with others to come will help tourism on Manitoulin and will also give the kids a little extra to do while they are up there. Also if your wondering about his name "Hawbear", he is named after the Haw berries that grow up on Manitoulin. People born there call themselves "Haw Eaters".

If your interested in a copy you can email Sheila at sheilam2001@hotmail.com

The book will be $15 (shipping not included)
If you'd like to see some sample pages check out shannon's blog at www.shannonmistry.blogspot.com

Enjoy!!!
